Do I have to impregnate the inside of the boat cover?
Mould and weather stains often arise on the inside of the boat cover. Impregnate the inside and you reduce the chance of damage to this coating.
Mould and weather stains often arise on the inside of the boat cover. Impregnate the inside and you reduce the chance of damage to this coating.
This is precisely the reason that you also have to impregnate the inside!
The coating on the inside is actually very delicate. With many boat covers, the coating on the inside of the fabric ensures watertightness. (if you look closely you will see the coating)
This coating is very susceptible to mould and weather stains. And it is precisely these weather stains that affect the coating. They eat small holes in that coating. The result: your boat cover is no longer watertight. And more importantly... your boat cover is difficult to make watertight.
How can I prevent weather stains from affecting my boat cover?
- Clean the inside of the boat cover occasionally with lukewarm water and a soft brush or sponge.
- Then allow the fabric to dry well.
- Impregnate the inside 1 or 2 times a year with a strong impregnating agent. Mould is thus less likely to attack the coating.
Order your impregnating agent here and protect the fabric while it is still possible.
