Do I have to wet the tent canvas before cleaning?

First clean the tent with clean lukewarm water. All the dirt that comes off that way will not need to be treated with Ultramar products.

• If the canvas is still wet, spray the Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo on the wet canvas.
• Use a plant sprayer or spray for this purpose.
• Now you can brush the detergent in well.
• If you were to spray the Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo onto a dry tent, it might soak into the canvas right away and not be easy to foam up and brush in.
• Of course, this also applies to the canvas of a boat canopy, convertible roof or awning.
