How can I clean sunscreen? - Instructions

Cleaning your awning yourself is easy with these instructions for use and recommended products. Enjoy a nice clean sunscreen without green deposits, mold and rain streaks.

Cleaning your awning is important

  • Dirt on your awning attracts other dirt and moisture.
  • Your sun protection will get dirtier and dirtier.
  • Mold and algae adhere to a dirty damp awning again.
  • So make sure that dirt doesn't get a chance. Clean on time.
  • Also impregnate the cloth with a strong impregnating agent.
  • This means that dirt adheres less to the awning fabric.
  • This extends the life of your valuable sunscreen. 
     

Directions for use: cleaning sunscreen with Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo

  1. Clean the sunshade cloth first with lukewarm water. Use a soft firm brush for this.
  2. Spray Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo evenly on the wet awning with a plant sprayer.
  3. Brush the dirt good loose.  
  4. Leave the shampoo about Work in for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove the shampoo and dirt with enough water† (rinse and brush)
  6. Good rinse.
  7. Leave the sunscreen now a little drying.

Is there still pollution to be seen? Go to step 2.
 

Directions for use: Remove heavy soiling with Ultramar Power Cleaner

  1. Spuit Ultramar Power Cleaner evenly on your dry awning with a plant sprayer.
  2. Rub the remedy in with a soft brush.
  3. Leave about 1 hour to work in. Don't see any change? Spray extra Power Cleaner, brush it in again and let it soak in again. Repeat these steps until the stains are gone. This can sometimes take several hours. After this rinse well.
  4. Leave it sunscreen well dry.
