Do I have to impregnate the inside of the boat cover?

Moet ik de binnenkant van de bootkap impregneren

Mold and weather stains often form on the inside of the boat cover. Impregnate the inside and you reduce the risk of damage to this coating.

This is the reason that you should also impregnate the inside!

The coating on the inside is very fragile. With many boat covers, the coating on the inside of the canvas ensures watertightness. (if you look closely you can see the coating)

This one coating is very susceptible to mold and weather spots. And it is precisely those weather stains that affect the coating. They eat small holes in that coating. Consequence: your boat cover is no longer waterproof. And more importantly... your boat cover is difficult to waterproof.

How can I prevent weather stains from affecting my boat cover?

  • Clean the inside of the boat cover from time to time with lukewarm water and a soft brush or sponge.
  • Then let the cloth dry well.
  • Impregnate the inside 1 or 2 times a year with a strong impregnating agent. This gives mold less chance to attack the coating.

Order your impregnating agent here and protect the canvas while you still can.
