For cotton tent fabric that needs to withstand weather, dirt, and mould.
Ultramar Canvas & Cotton Protector is the go-to waterproofing treatment for all types of cotton tents.
It makes your fabric long-lasting water-repellent, reduces the risk of mould, and provides extra protection against algae and weather stains – all without blocking the natural breathability of cotton.
Perfect after cleaning or before storage.
For years of camping comfort, even in wet conditions.

    WHAT IS THIS USED FOR?

Canvas & Cotton Protector is specially developed for cotton and canvas fabrics that are exposed to moisture, dirt, and mildew outdoors.

You can use this protector on:

Trailer tents, pyramid tents, and canvas lodges
Protects the fabric against leaks and dirt – without affecting breathability.

    Group tents and safari tents
Keeps the inner tent dry and fresh – even in wet or hot conditions.

    Tipi tents and cotton awnings
Makes the fabric water-repellent, reduces the risk of mildew, and makes cleaning easier.

Canvas canopies and cotton pop-top roofs
Helps maintain fabric strength – even during heavy use or storage.

Suitable for well-known fabric brands like:
TenCate Cotton, All Season Cotton, Campshield, and other cotton-based materials.

Perfect after a thorough clean, before storage, or at the start of a new season.

    WHY DOES THIS WORK?

Canvas & Cotton Protector is specially developed for the unique structure of cotton tent fabric.

Cotton is strong, yet vulnerable – it retains moisture and is more prone to dirt, mildew, and leakage.

What makes this product different from regular fabric protectors:

    Fills the fibers without clogging
Protects the fabric while allowing it to breathe – essential for cotton.

Adds water-repellency without stiffening the fabric
Your tent stays soft and natural to the touch, even after multiple treatments.

    Provides long-lasting protection
Because dirt and moisture don't stick as easily, your fabric stays cleaner and drier for longer.

    Safe and PFAS-free
Use it with confidence – at home, on the campsite, or in nature.

    Proven in real-world use
Trusted by tent washers, outdoor experts, and campers who want results that last.

This is the protection your cotton tent fabric truly needs – no fuss, just performance.

    HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT?

For best results, follow these steps:

Step 1 – Make sure your tent is clean and dry
Ideally, clean the fabric first with Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo and Power Cleaner. Let it dry completely before applying.

Step 2 – Apply generously to dry fabric
Spray evenly until the fabric is well saturated. Use a garden sprayer, brush, or soft paintbrush to spread the product thoroughly.

    Step 3 – Don’t forget the inside
Mildew can also develop on the inside. Apply a layer there too for extra protection.

Step 4 – Let it dry thoroughly in fresh air
Ensure good ventilation. Sun and warmth actually help the impregnation set better.

Step 5 – Want to avoid white marks?
Don’t use too much in one spot. Distribute the product evenly and wipe off any excess from windows or synthetic parts right away.

    HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED?

Usage depends on the thickness, structure, and condition of your cotton fabric. Older, dried-out, or heavily weathered canvas will absorb more.

    Average guideline per tent type:

    Bungalow tent (4-person): 5–10 litres
    Tunnel tent (3-person): 5–10 litres
Folding trailer tent (2-person): approx. 5 litres
    Tipi tent: 10–15 litres
    Group tent (6-person): 10–15 litres

    For best results:
Apply generously to clean, dry fabric
Also treat the inside of the fabric to reduce the risk of mildew
Repeat the treatment if the fabric quickly absorbs the liquid again

Note: Dry or worn-out fabric may require a second or even third coat to fully saturate and properly protect the material.
