    Ultramar's Sprayhood & Tent Protector is a strong impregnating agent for your tent fabric. Our impregnating agent extends the life of your tent fabric enormously. When you impregnate your tent, you make the canvas waterproof and dirt-repellent. Mould, algae and other dirt cannot attach as well to the canvas. Impregnated tent fabric is easier to clean and lasts longer. So you can enjoy your tent for years to come!

    ADVICE

    We recommend cleaning and impregnating your tent after each use. Impregnate your tent after every cleaning. This will ensure that you have optimal protection against dirt and grime.

    Storing your tent clean and impregnated will protect it during storage and for the next camping trip. Only use the impregnating agent on clean, dry tent fabric.

    There is no need to dilute this special impregnating agent.

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

    1. Make sure the material is clean and dry.
    2. Spray the dry cloth generously with the impregnating spray. Spread the impregnating agent evenly. For this you can use a plant sprayer, brush or brush.
    3. If possible, also apply the impregnating agent to the inside of the fabric. That way, mold and weather spots are less likely to adhere to the canvas.
    4. Do you have a tent, boat canopy or convertible roof with plastic windows? Remove the impregnating agent directly from the windows with a damp cloth.
    5. Let the canvas dry thoroughly.

    Consumption always depends on the type of cloth.

    How many liters do I need to clean and impregnate my awning?
    These are the quantities we recommend for normal soiling of a standard size awning with a polyester fabric:

    • 1 x 2.5 liters Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo
    • 1 x 1 liter Power Cleaner
    • 2 x 2.5 liters Sprayhood & Tent Protector

    How many liters do I need to clean and impregnate my convertible roof?
    This depends on how dirty your roof is. With normal soiling of a convertible roof, we recommend the following quantities:

    • 1 x 1 liter Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo
    • 1 x 1 liter Power Cleaner
    • 1 x 2.5 liter Sprayhood & Tent Protector

    How many liters do I need to clean and impregnate my boat cover?
    This depends on how dirty your boat cover is. With normal soiling of a boat canopy of a sloop, we recommend the following quantities:

    • 1 x 1 liter Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo
    • 1 x 1 liter Power Cleaner
    • 1 x 2.5 liter Sprayhood & Tent Protector

    A clean tent canvas in three steps

    Of course, you can use the impregnation agent on its own. For optimum results, use the impregnation agent in combination with our tent cleaner and stain remover. The dirt on your tent canvas is never just one type of dirt. It is often a combination of sand, mould, algae and mosses, insect and bird droppings, salt and resin, for example.

    Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo can be used to remove most dirt. Remove any stubborn stains using the Power Cleaner. Then apply the Sprayhood & Tent Protector or Canvas Protector to protect the tent canvas. Our three-step plan in a nutshell:

    1. First of all, use the tent cleaner to remove most of the dirt.
    2. Then use the stain remover to get rid of any stubborn stains.
    3. Finish by using impregnation agent to make the canvas waterproof and dirt repellent.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Does it matter if the Sprayhood & Tent Protector touches the plastic windows?

    It won’t do any damage, but make sure you wipe off the window film using a damp cloth after impregnating. Once the impregnation agent has dried, small marks may appear on the windows. You can easily remove these marks using Ultramar’s Plastic Window Cleaner & Protector.

    Should the canvas be dry before I start applying the impregnation agent?

    Yes. Make sure that the canvas is dry before you start applying the impregnation agent.

    What is the difference between the Sprayhood & Tent Protector and the Canvas & Cotton Protector?

    They are both impregnation agents developed to treat specific types of fabric.
    ● The Sprayhood & Tent Protector is specially developed for woven plastic or canvas that contains plastic, such as a polyester tent, boat cover or convertible roof.
    ● The Canvas & Cotton Protector is specially developed for canvas with cotton fibres, such as a cotton tent.

    Review wordt beantwoord met dat ik 500ml heb gebruikt

    Mijn vorige review wordt beantwoord met de aanname dat ik 500ml heb gebruikt maar ik had nog 2.5 liter gekocht bij plaatselijke winkel, zelfs met die hoeveelheden en op miezerige dag en 10uur lang laten inweken en schrobbben geeft niet het gewenste resultaat

    Wat jammer dat u ons eerder niet heeft gecontacteerd zodat u dit kon voorkomen.

    Over de reiniging:
    We zien dat u 500ml Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo heeft aangekocht. De Shampoo verwijderd algemeen vuil. Voor hardnekkige vlekken heeft u de Power Cleaner nodig.
    Beide producten worden in combinatie gebruikt. De Shampoo pakt namelijk vuil aan die de Power Cleaner niet aanpakt en visa versa.

    Over het impregneermiddel:
    Elk doek is helaas anders. Denk maar aan de leeftijd, vervuiling, kwaliteit,..
    Hierdoor is het erg moeilijk om een standaard hoeveelheid aan te geven.
    We geven ook aan om te STARTEN met 2,5L impregneermiddel.
    Het beste is om een klein gedeelte uit te testen, ter grootte van een A4 blad. Behandel dit deel tot het gewenste resultaat zodat u weet hoeveel u nodig heeft voor het gehele doek te behandelen.

    U geeft aan dat u impregneert op een miezerige dag. Impregneermiddel werkt het beste op een zonnige dag, warmte versterkt namelijk het effect.

    De tent is na rampjaar weer waterdicht

    We hebben vorige zomer wat pech gehad met de regen met als gevolg dat alles nat werd in de tent. Protector gebruikt i.c.m. de aanbevolen fijnsproeier en een borstel. 2,5 liter voor het dak, incl luifel (25-30 m2) is net voldoende. Vandaag een zeer regenachtige nacht/dag in Frankrijk. Alles is kurkdroog gebleven.
    Het lijkt een flinke investering , maar voor een droge en goed beschermde tent is dat een klein bedrag.
