    Productbeschrijving

We recommend cleaning and impregnating your tent after each use. Always impregnate your tent after you have cleaned it. That way, you know for sure that you are giving the canvas optimum protection against dirt and grime.

Cleaning and impregnating your tent before storing it will protect the canvas during storage and for the next camping trip. Only use the impregnation agent on a clean, dry tent canvas.

You do not need to dilute this special impregnation agent, and 1 litre can be used to impregnate between 6m² and 14m² of canvas.

    Impregnation agent instructions for use

    1. Make sure the tent canvas is clean and dry and put up your tent.
    2. Spray a generous amount of impregnation agent onto the dry tent canvas. Make sure you apply the impregnation agent evenly. You could use a plant sprayer or brush to do this.
    3. Also apply the impregnation agent to the inside of the tent canvas. If you impregnate the inside, mould and weather stains will not stick to the canvas as easily.
    4. If you have an awning or tent with windows, remove the impregnation agent from the windows straight away using a damp cloth.
    5. Allow the tent canvas to dry thoroughly.

    Impregnation agent applications

You can use this impregnation agent for a variety of applications, including:

    • Polyester tents
    • Boat covers
    • Sun blinds
    • Convertible tops
    • Backpacks
    • Plastic
    • Boat cushions

A clean tent canvas in three steps

Of course, you can use the impregnation agent on its own. For optimum results, use the impregnation agent in combination with our tent cleaner and stain remover. The dirt on your tent canvas is never just one type of dirt. It is often a combination of sand, mould, algae and mosses, insect and bird droppings, salt and resin, for example.

Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo can be used to remove most dirt. Remove any stubborn stains using the Power Cleaner. Then apply the Sprayhood & Tent Protector or Canvas Protector to protect the tent canvas. Our three-step plan in a nutshell:

    1. First of all, use the tent cleaner to remove most of the dirt.
    2. Then use the stain remover to get rid of any stubborn stains.
    3. Finish by using impregnation agent to make the canvas waterproof and dirt repellent.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Does it matter if the Sprayhood & Tent Protector touches the plastic windows?

It won’t do any damage, but make sure you wipe off the window film using a damp cloth after impregnating. Once the impregnation agent has dried, small marks may appear on the windows. You can easily remove these marks using Ultramar’s Plastic Window Cleaner & Protector.

Should the canvas be dry before I start applying the impregnation agent?

Yes. Make sure that the canvas is dry before you start applying the impregnation agent.

What is the difference between the Sprayhood & Tent Protector and the Canvas & Cotton Protector?

They are both impregnation agents developed to treat specific types of fabric.
    ● The Sprayhood & Tent Protector is specially developed for woven plastic or canvas that contains plastic, such as a polyester tent, boat cover or convertible roof.
    ● The Canvas & Cotton Protector is specially developed for canvas with cotton fibres, such as a cotton tent.

How large a surface area can I impregnate with the Sprayhood & Tent Protector?

This always depends on the kind of canvas. Generally speaking, a sturdy boat cover absorbs more impregnation agent than a thin tent canvas. On average, you can count on using 1 litre of Sprayhood & Tent Protector to impregnate 6-14m² of canvas.

Can I use the Sprayhood & Tent Protector in the sunshine?

Alles is kurkdroog gebleven.
Het lijkt een flinke investering , maar voor een droge en goed beschermde tent is dat een klein bedrag.
