Protect your cotton tent canvas with Ultramar's Canvas & Cotton Protector. This impregnating agent is specially designed for cotton canvas. Cotton fibers retain moisture longer than a polyester tent. This makes your cotton tent more susceptible to mold, weather spots and leaks. Impregnated canvas is easier to keep clean because mold, algae and other debris do not attach as well to the material. Make your tent fabric dirt- and water-repellent, and you will enjoy your tent for years to come!
ADVICE
We recommend cleaning and impregnating your cotton tent regularly, at least after the camping season. In any case, impregnate your canvas after every cleaning. Include the inside as well: this is the best way to protect the material from mold.
If you put your gear away clean and impregnated after your vacation, you will protect the canvas from mold, moisture and dirt during storage. Make sure the tent is completely clean and dry before you start impregnating.
You do not need to dilute this special impregnating agent.

You can use this impregnating agent for different types of cotton tents, such as:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Make sure the tent canvas is clean and dry and set up your tent.
- Spray the dry canvas generously with the waterproofing spray. Be sure to distribute the spray evenly. For this you can use a plant sprayer, brush or brush.
- Also apply the impregnating agent to the inside of the tent fabric. If you impregnate the inside, fungi and weather spots will not attach as well to the cotton fabric.
- Do you have an awning or a tent with windows? Remove the impregnating agent directly from the windows with a damp cloth.
- Allow the tent fabric to dry thoroughly.
USE
How many liters do I need to clean and impregnate my cotton tent?
These are the quantities we recommend for normal soiling of a standard size bungalow tent, with a tent fabric of normal thickness.
- 1 x 2.5 liters Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo
- 1 x 1 liter Power Cleaner
- 2 x 5 liters Canvas & Cotton Protector

Deze geeft helaas wat witte druppels maar is voor katoen en zelf blijkt het een synthetische tent te zijn die ik heb. Dus toch de sprayhood nodig

We hebben het impregneermiddel Canvas & Cotton Protector aangebracht op één zijde van de Bardani-tent, eerst door te vernevelen en vervolgens zorgvuldig in te rollen met een verfroller. Om de meest gevoelige plek – de bovenkant – extra te beschermen, hebben we ook een halve meter van de andere zijde meegenomen.
Nadat de eerste zijde volledig was gedroogd, hebben we de andere zijde op dezelfde manier behandeld, met een overlap om een gelijkmatige dekking te garanderen. Het was eenvoudig te zien welke delen al behandeld waren: de druppeltjes van de drukspuit bleven op het behandelde oppervlak liggen, en er ontstond een duidelijke scheidingslijn tussen de behandelde en onbehandelde stukken. Bovendien vergde het aanzienlijk meer inspanning om de stof opnieuw nat te maken tijdens het inrollen, wat de effectiviteit van de behandeling onderstreepte.
Al met al zijn we onder de indruk van het resultaat en voelen we ons gerustgesteld om opnieuw met de tent op reis te gaan.
