Clean and Waterproof Your Tent

Ultramar helps you clean and waterproof your tent safely and effectively. With our PFAS-free cleaners and waterproofing products, you can remove dirt, mould and stubborn stains while restoring the water-repellent properties of the fabric.

Tents are exposed to rain, UV radiation, mud and organic contamination. Regular cleaning and reproofing prevents mould growth, discolouration and premature fabric wear.

IN 3 SIMPLE STEPS

Step 1

Clean Your Tent

Ultramar Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo removes everyday dirt and organic contamination from tent fabric.

Preparation

  • Rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Remove loose dirt with a soft brush.

Cleaning

  • Apply to wet fabric.
  • Gently brush in.
  • Leave for approx. 20 minutes.

Rinse

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Allow to dry completely before moving to step 2.

Step 2

Use Power Cleaner for Stubborn Dirt

Ultramar Power Cleaner removes ingrained dirt, mould and heavy stains.

Application

  • Apply to dry fabric.
  • Work in gently with a soft brush.

Processing time

  • Leave for about 1 hour.
  • Repeat if necessary.

Rinse

  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Allow to dry completely.

Step 3

Reproof and Waterproof Your Tent

After cleaning, it is essential to reproof your tent. Waterproofing restores the protective water-repellent layer and prevents moisture from penetrating the fabric.

For polyester or synthetic tents
Use Sprayhood & Tent Protector.

For canvas or cotton tents
Use Canvas & Cotton Protector, specially developed for natural fibres.

  • Apply evenly to clean, dry fabric.
  • Saturate the material thoroughly.
  • Allow to dry completely before packing away.

After treatment, water will bead and roll off the fabric again.

Produit prêt à l'emploi, pas besoin de le diluer, il suffit de fixer un vaporisateur sur le goulot. Avec 1 litre j'ai pu passer 2 couches sur une toile de tente 2 places. Très facile d'utilisation; j'attend qu'il pleuve pour pouvoir juger de l'efficacité. J'ai arrosé ma tente et ça a l'air nickel .

Good service and good communication. Waterproofing product did leave a white residue on my tent but I was assured this would go in time. Tested waterproof by using hose and seems to have done the job.

Im Bestellvorgang könnte auf lange Lieferzeit seitens PostNL hingewiesen werden, es dauerte eine komplette Woche bis das Paket von den Niederlanden nach Deutschland kam. Preis Leistung vom Imprägniermittel unverhältnismäßig, 500 ML Ultramar reichen meiner Meinung für 2 große Jacken was dann 27€ kostet
